Moor Lane and Toons island
The saga of Moor Lane continues...
We have now been told that we may not access or fish in the small triangular field directly downstream of Toons island. What that means is that to access Toons you must walk downstream from Pillings even if the Moor Lane car park is open. Likewise you enter via Moor Lane you may not walk through that field and head upstream.

Best of luck
We would like to wish our members the very best of luck for the coming season.
Can we just remind people that tickets are not sold on the bank and that you must carry your permit with you at all times. It's in the car, I've forgotten it, or the dog has eaten it are not acceptable excuses and you will be asked to leave the fishery. Remember that anyone who decides not to pay for their fishing, which lets face it is incredibly cheap, is taking the mickey out of those who do pay and those of us who put in a lot of hard work to make the waters available

Update
Bank works have commenced in preparation for the new season with strimming almost completed at the Osiers and two thirds done at the eleven arches, why not take a walk and check out some swims, you may even spot a few chub and barbel
Two anglers were caught fishing the river today at the Osiers and were asked to leave. They should consider themselves lucky that no further action was taken as given the opportunity we will involve the Environment Agency with regards to prosecution
