The Pike Anglers Club of Great Britain in association with the Angling Trust are holding three pike tuition days at Sutton Bonnington in January, details can be found here - Click here
Anyone attending all three sessions which cost only £3 per day will be given a Loughborough Soar AS winter permit free of charge which will enable them to fish the river until the end of the season and the canal until June the 15th

Surprise catch at Zouch canal
Neil Doyle recently caught this brown trout estimated at 3lb's from the canal at Zouch while lure fishing for pike, it's not often something like that turns up in the river let alone in the canal!

A discounted full adult winter permit is available from tackle shops from December the 1st priced at £15, this entitles you to fish the river until the end of the season and the canal until June the 15th 2013 - bargain!

We have now added up coming match dates to the site and will update with further details of specific waters to be used for each match in due course.

Footpath closure Sutton Bonnington
The club has received notice that tree works will be carried out between Soar Lane and the playing fields at Sutton Bonnington, work is expected to commence on the 8th of October for up to two weeks and the footpath will be closed at times during this period
